Local, not a broker. Many of the top search results for porta potty rental in the Temecula Valley are national brokers that take your order and hand it to another company. We are not a broker. We own our portable toilets and our trucks, we service them ourselves from our yard at 26245 Monroe Ave in Murrieta, and we answer our own phone.
Which page fits your job?
Sanitation needs change a lot between a backyard pool dig and a 100-person commercial site. Each trade page below goes into the counts, placement and scheduling for that kind of work.
Building and remodeling homes
- General contractors: Sizing an order for your own crew plus every sub on site, and running toilets, dumpsters and fence through one supplier.
- Custom home builds: Single-lot builds that run for many months, often on acreage or hillside lots where truck access decides where the unit sits.
- Home builders and tracts: Multi-unit orders that move through a tract phase by phase as slabs, framing and finish crews advance.
- Home remodels and additions: One unit in the driveway or side yard so the crew stays out of the homeowner's bathrooms. Covers HOA and street placement questions.
- ADU construction and garage conversions: Tight backyard and alley sites where the unit shares space with materials, a dumpster and the family's cars.
Specialty trades
- Roofing contractors: Short jobs with fast turnover, where the toilet and the tear-off dumpster need to arrive together. Our sister company supplies a 20 yard dumpster for roofing debris.
- Pool builders: Backyard digs that stretch across excavation, steel, gunite, tile and plaster, with a different crew at each stage.
- Landscape contractors: Install crews on new yards, slopes and commercial grounds where no restroom exists and the work area keeps shifting.
- Solar installers: Rooftop installs that last a day or two and ground-mount projects on open land far from any building.
Commercial, site work and public projects
- Demolition contractors: Strip-outs and full tear-downs where the building's restrooms are gone first, with units kept clear of the work zone and dust.
- Commercial construction and tenant improvements: Larger crews, multi-unit counts, multi-story work and interior build-outs where the building's restrooms are off-limits.
- Grading, paving and concrete crews: Raw land with no utilities, work fronts that move along a road or pad, dust and stormwater placement.
- Public works and utility crews: Road, pipeline and water district work in the public right-of-way, including encroachment, traffic control and emergency repairs.

How many portable toilets does Cal/OSHA require?
California construction sites need one toilet and one hand-wash station for every 20 employees or fraction of 20 (Title 8 §1526, §1527). A fraction rounds up, so the 21st worker triggers a second unit.
| Peak headcount | Minimum toilets | Minimum hand-wash stations |
|---|---|---|
| Under 5 | 1 single-user unit | 1, and it may be inside the unit |
| 5 to 20 | 1 | 1, outside the unit |
| 21 to 40 | 2 | 2 |
| 41 to 60 | 3 | 3 |
| Each additional 20 or part of 20 | Add 1 | Add 1 |
Three things to know before you count:
- Count the busiest day. Include every subcontractor's crew, not only your own payroll.
- The wash station is separate. With portable toilets it has to stand outside the unit, except on sites with fewer than five workers and a single toilet.
- Mobile crews are treated differently. Section 1526 does not apply to mobile crews that have transportation readily available to nearby toilet facilities. Crews that stay put on a site without facilities do not qualify.
The rule is a minimum. It says nothing about walking distance, heat or how many floors the crew is spread across. Our Cal/OSHA porta potty requirements guide explains the per-sex wording, the all-gender exception and what inspectors look for. For a quick number, use the how many porta potties calculator guide.
How does weekly service work on a job site?
Weekly service is included in every 28-day construction rental. Once a week a driver comes to the site and:
- Pumps out the waste tank.
- Cleans and sanitizes the inside of the unit.
- Adds fresh water and deodorizer to the tank.
- Restocks toilet paper.
- Refills water, soap and towels at each hand-wash station.
Cal/OSHA requires toilets to be kept clean, in working order and stocked with toilet paper, but it does not set a pumping interval (§1526(d)). Once a week suits most crews at the one-per-20 ratio. If a unit is carrying more people than that, or the crew is working six or seven days, add a second weekly visit or add a unit. Extra visits are available on request and are quoted when you call.
Two things keep service running:
- A clear path. The driver has to get the truck's hose to each unit. A unit boxed in by a lumber drop or parked equipment gets skipped that week.
- A phone call when the site changes. If the gate code changes, the entrance moves or the unit needs to go to a new work area, tell us before service day. We can move a unit when we are on site for your regular service. If you need it moved sooner and we have to make a special trip, a relocation fee applies, and the amount depends on the location.
Service runs on a set route, which is how we keep pricing competitive. You can request a specific service day. If your site needs a day that requires a special trip, the price may change.
What does a construction porta potty cost?
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Construction portable toilet, 28 days, weekly service included | From $189 |
| Delivery and pickup | Quoted up front |
| Fuel surcharge | None |
| Environmental surcharge | None |
| ADA-accessible unit | Call for a quote |
| Hand-wash station | Call for a quote |
| Restroom trailer | Quote only |
Construction rentals bill in 28-day cycles. The price you are quoted before delivery is the price on the invoice. What changes the total is the number and type of units, how long they stay, whether you add service visits, and whether the placement needs anything unusual to reach.
Full details are on the pricing page.
Where should a portable toilet go on a job site?
Placement is decided on delivery day, and it is easier to get right the first time than to move later. Walk the site with these questions:
- Can the service truck reach it every week? Not only on delivery day. Think about where trenches, stockpiles and deliveries will be in a month.
- Is the ground firm and level? Soft fill and slopes tip units. A graded pad or compacted base is enough.
- Is it near the crew? One unit at the gate of a long site means lost time. Split units between work areas when the walk gets long.
- Is it clear of drainage? California stormwater guidance says to place portable facilities at least 50 feet from drainage conveyances and traffic areas where site conditions allow, and to secure them in high winds (CASQA WM-9). If the project has a SWPPP, show the toilet location on the site map. We offer containment trays to set under units where the plan calls for containment.
- Is it on private property? A unit in the street, on the sidewalk or in the parkway generally needs an encroachment permit from the city, or from County Transportation in unincorporated areas. Our porta potty permit guide lists who to call in each jurisdiction.
- Is it out of sight where it can be? On residential streets, placing the unit behind the fence line or beside the dumpster keeps neighbors and HOAs calmer.
Can I get toilets, a dumpster and fence from one call?
Yes. Most job sites need all three in the same week, and ordering them separately means three deliveries to coordinate and three invoices to chase.
| What | Who supplies it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Portable toilets and hand-wash stations | Victory Portable Restrooms | Our own units and service trucks |
| Roll-off dumpsters | Victory Dumpsters | Sister company, same ownership |
| Temporary fence panels | Partner supplier, arranged by us | 3-day lead time. |
Tell us the site address and start date and we will put the pieces on one quote. Placing the toilet next to the dumpster inside the fence line also means one access point for both trucks. See job site services, dumpster rental and temporary fence rental.

Construction porta potty FAQ
Is a porta potty legally required on a California construction site? A toilet is required. Cal/OSHA calls for at least one toilet per 20 employees, and where a sewer connection or water supply is not available, chemical toilets are one of the accepted ways to provide it (§1526(c)). If workers have real access to a plumbed restroom on the property, that can count instead.
Does hand sanitizer satisfy the hand-wash rule? No. Section 1527 requires water, soap or another cleansing agent, and single-use towels or a warm-air blower. Order a hand-wash station with the toilet.
Do construction site units have to be ADA-accessible? Federal ADA standards exempt portable toilets used only by construction personnel on a construction site (U.S. Access Board). The exemption stops applying when the public, tenants or other non-construction staff use the units. See ADA-accessible units.
Do I need a permit for a porta potty on my job site? Not for a unit on private property in any local code we have reviewed. The permit question comes up when the unit sits in the street or other public right-of-way. Check the permit guide for your city.
Can I rent for less than 28 days? Short jobs are common for roofing, paving and solar crews. Job site rentals bill in 28-day periods. Call when the job is finished and we will pick up.
How quickly can you add a unit when the crew grows? We offer same-day and next-day delivery, and the yard is in Murrieta. Call as soon as you know the headcount is changing.
What if a unit is knocked over or vandalized? Call the same number, any hour. If a unit is tipped over or damaged, call us and we will reset, clean or replace it. The renter is responsible for damage beyond normal wear, and a service fee may apply.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance? Yes. We provide certificates of insurance, including additional-insured certificates, on request.
