Which part of Jurupa Valley is your site in?
Jurupa Valley is a city made of older communities that kept their names. It matters to us because the route and the kind of property change from one to the next.
| Area | What we usually see there | Usual approach from the yard |
|---|---|---|
| Mira Loma | Warehouses and truck yards, plus horse property | I-15 north to Limonite Avenue or Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road |
| Glen Avon | Large residential lots, animal keeping, Highway 60 frontage | I-15 north, then Highway 60 east |
| Pedley | Residential lots along Limonite Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard | I-15 to Limonite Avenue, east |
| Rubidoux, Sunnyslope, Crestmore Heights | Older neighborhoods, Mission Boulevard businesses, Agua Mansa industrial land, the river | I-215 north, then Highway 60 west |
How long does delivery to Jurupa Valley take?
Honest answer: it is a long run. Depending on the neighborhood, Jurupa Valley is roughly 40 to 46 miles from our yard at 26245 Monroe Ave in Murrieta. The drive takes longer when the I-15 through Corona or the 60 and 91 interchange is backed up.
We offer same-day and next-day delivery across our service area. For Jurupa Valley, plan on next-day and ask about same-day when you call. We will not promise a time we cannot keep. Phones are answered 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, and around the clock for emergencies.
Porta potties for horse property and large lots
The city's General Plan was written to keep the "semi-rural equestrian nature" of Jurupa Valley, and it sets an Equestrian Lifestyle Protection Overlay over parts of Mira Loma, Sunnyslope, Crestmore Heights, Pedley and Glen Avon (Jurupa Valley General Plan). In practice that often means larger lots with barns, arenas and corrals, and work that happens far from the house.
People on these lots rent a portable toilet for:
- Barn, cover and arena construction, fencing and grading.
- An ADU or second dwelling at the back of a deep lot. See ADU construction.
- Family events where 60 or 100 guests would overload a household septic system.
- Riding club events and gymkhanas. See private parties.
Placement on horse property takes a little thought. Set the unit on level ground outside turnouts and away from where trailers swing. Keep a clear, firm path for our service truck, and tell us about gates, dogs and loose animals before the first visit.

Industrial building is the other half of Jurupa Valley. The Agua Mansa Commerce Park alone was planned on a 206-acre former cement plant site with several buildings of about a million square feet each (REBusiness Online). Other industrial projects have gone through the city's environmental review, including the Rubidoux Commerce Park. We have not confirmed the current status of either.
Sites this size have their own rules of thumb:
- Count by peak crew, not average. Cal/OSHA requires one toilet and one hand-wash station per 20 workers or fraction of 20 (§1526, §1527). Tilt-up pours and roofing bring the peaks.
- Spread the units. A half-mile walk across a pad wastes paid time. Put clusters at the trailers, the far corners and the laydown yard.
- Plan for the building closing up. Once the slab and walls are in, units move outside the footprint. Tell us and we will relocate them. We can move a unit when we are on site for your regular service. If you need it moved sooner and we have to make a special trip, a relocation fee applies, and the amount depends on the location.
- Keep them off the drainage. State stormwater guidance says to keep portable toilets about 50 feet from drainage where the site allows (CASQA WM-9).
See commercial construction, grading and paving and the Cal/OSHA porta potty guide. Dumpsters come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters, and we arrange temporary fence panels through partners. See job site services.
What permits does the City of Jurupa Valley require?
Jurupa Valley has been a city since 2011, so city rules apply. Three permits come up.
Temporary events on private property. The city's zoning code, Chapter 9.250, covers events the public is invited to. From the municipal code (Chapter 9.250):
| Rule | What the code says |
|---|---|
| Application deadline | At least 60 days before the event |
| Outdoor entertainment or assembly | Up to 7 days, 4 per year per applicant |
| Special event on private property | 1 day, up to 8 per year per site |
| Sanitation | Sanitary facilities must be available for patrons, employees and participants. No toilet count is given |
| Sewage, water and food plan | Must be approved by Riverside County Environmental Health |
| Not covered | Events at established facilities such as halls and theaters, and public agency events on public facilities |
Because the code gives no number, the count is yours to justify. Our porta potty calculator gives you one based on crowd size and hours.
Events that use a street. The city requires a Parade and Special Event Permit "for any event where attendees are expected to use a city right-of-way," handled by the Engineering Department (City of Jurupa Valley permit applications). The city's application form asks for it no later than 60 days before the event.
A unit in the street or parkway. The same city page says an encroachment permit is required for any work on property owned or maintained by the city. Ask the Engineering Department whether that covers a portable toilet at the curb. On most Jurupa Valley lots there is room to keep the unit on your own property.
Two more things to know. Rancho Jurupa Regional Park on Crestmore Road is a Riverside County park, so the county parks office, not the city, sets the terms for events there. Neighborhood parks are run by a separate park district, so ask the district that runs your park what it requires. More in our permit guide.

Jurupa Valley porta potty rental FAQ
Is a porta potty safe around horses? Yes, if it is placed outside their space. Horses can spook at a door banging in wind, so we set units away from stalls and turnouts where the lot allows.
My lot is deep and the work is at the back. Can your truck get there? Usually. We need a firm path wide enough for a service truck and room to turn or back out. Send a photo or a map pin.
Can I get a unit for a one-day event at home? Yes. We deliver the day before or the morning of your event and pick up afterward or the next day, depending on the schedule. Given the distance, book as early as you can.
Do you serve the cities around Jurupa Valley? Yes: Eastvale, Riverside, Norco and Highgrove. See all service areas.
