MURRIETA BASED. VALLEY PROUD. 7 AM – 7 PM SEVEN DAYS A WEEK (951) 517-3600

Porta Potty Rental for Sports Tournaments and Youth Leagues

A park restroom built for a normal Saturday cannot keep up with a tournament weekend. Victory Portable Restrooms rents porta potties, ADA-accessible units and hand-wash stations for weekend tournaments, and places portable toilets at practice fields for a whole season with weekly service. We are based in Murrieta and deliver across the Temecula Valley and western Riverside County, seven days a week.

Weekend tournament or full season: which rental do I need?

These are two different orders, and it helps to say which one you want when you call.

Weekend tournament Season-long field rental
Typical use 1 to 3 days, heavy use all day 2 to 4 months, light use on weekday evenings, heavier on game days
Delivery Before the first game, often the day before Before the first practice
Service Pump and restock between days on multi-day events Weekly pump, clean and restock included on 28-day rentals
Sizing Players plus spectators on site at the busiest hour Number of teams practising at once, plus game-day crowd
Pickup After the last game End of season
Price Event rentals start at $189 per unit

For a season rental, tell us which day your games fall on. Service runs on a set route, which is how we keep pricing competitive. You can request a specific service day. If your site needs a day that requires a special trip, the price may change. Extra visits are available for opening day, picture day and playoffs.

How do I count people at a tournament?

Count everyone on site at the busiest hour, not the number of registered players. A youth tournament brings parents, siblings, coaches, referees and vendors, and teams overlap when one game ends and the next warms up.

A simple way to estimate:

  1. Count the fields or courts in use at the same time.
  2. Multiply by two teams, then by roster size.
  3. Add the teams waiting for the next game slot.
  4. Add spectators. Youth events often bring more spectators than players. Ask the tournament director what past years looked like.
  5. Add staff, referees, volunteers and vendors.

Then match that peak figure to the standard event chart from the Portable Sanitation Association International (PSAI):

People on site 4 hours 6 hours 8 hours
500 5 7 9
1,000 8 9 12
2,000 12 16 20

The chart assumes no permanent restrooms and no pumping during the event. If the park restroom building will be open, you can order fewer units, but check first that it will be unlocked and stocked for your hours. Hot days push the count up, because everyone drinks more. Our porta potty calculator works through the numbers for you.

Worked example (illustration only). Six soccer fields, two teams of 14 on each, is 168 players on the grass. With the next round warming up and two spectators per player, around 700 to 800 people are in the park at once. For an eight-hour day, the chart points to roughly 9 to 12 units before you subtract anything for the park's own restrooms.

Do I need permission from the city or school district?

Yes. The field owner decides whether you can bring portable toilets and where they go. Ask before you order.

City of Murrieta. The city's Athletic Facility Reservation Form says organized practices, games, clinics and training are by permit only, including travel teams. It also says that, based on estimated attendance, the applicant may be responsible for providing additional trash cans, dumpsters, hand-wash stations, portable toilets or security. Other rules on the same form affect a toilet order directly:

  • Requests must reach Community Services at least 10 days before the event.
  • Vehicles may not drive onto turf or sidewalks to unload.
  • Electricity and water hook-ups are not available at any park.
  • Items stored on site by sports organizations need approval from the Director of Community Services, which matters for a unit left at a field all season.

City of Temecula. The city's Sports Division handles field reservations, including fields at some school sites, and youth league allocations get priority over rentals (Temecula Field Reservations). The city's page does not state a portable toilet rule, so ask the Sports Division when you book.

City of Menifee. Park event applications are due at least 90 days ahead, and the city notes that other licences and permits may be required (Menifee Park Event Rentals). We could not find Menifee's field-use rules for leagues online, so call the city's Community Services Department.

School districts. A district field is usually booked through the district's own facility-use application, not the city. Ask the district office or site custodian where a truck may enter and whether units can stay over a weekend.

A large tournament with vendors, amplified sound or road closures may also need the city's special event permit. Lead times run from 30 days in Temecula to several months in Murrieta. See our permit guide.

Where should the units go?

  • Close to the fields, outside the lines of play. Keep units well back from sidelines, goal ends and foul territory. A ball or a sliding player should never reach one. Behind a backstop fence or beside the parking lot edge usually works.
  • On pavement or firm ground the truck can reach. Murrieta does not allow vehicles on turf or sidewalks, and most parks are the same. Our truck needs to get to the unit again for every service visit, so a spot beside a parking stall or maintenance gate is best.
  • Split between field clusters. At a large complex, a group at each end saves small children a long walk between games.
  • Shade if you can. A unit in afternoon shade is more pleasant in July.
  • Out of sprinkler spray and low spots. Fields are watered at night. Ask the parks crew where the heads are.
  • Lit for evening practice. Near the field lights or the parking lot lights.

Why put a hand-wash station by the snack bar?

Volunteers handle money and food in the same shift, and the park has no water hook-up to offer. A hand-wash station beside the snack bar gives them soap and water within a few steps. Riverside County Environmental Health does not accept gloves or hand sanitizer as a replacement for hand washing at temporary food booths (Riverside County DEH). Murrieta's field form adds that a Special Event Health Permit may be required if food is sold or served to the public. Put a second station at the toilets so players wash before they eat.

What about accessible units?

Order at least one. The California Building Code requires that 5% of the portable toilets in each cluster, and never fewer than one, be accessible (CBC §11B-213.2). An ADA-accessible unit needs level ground and a firm path, so it goes at the pavement edge, not across the outfield. Parents with small children in uniform also find the larger unit easier.

Do you serve motocross, off-road and equestrian events?

Yes. These events share one feature: the site is open dirt with few or no permanent restrooms, and people stay all day.

Motocross and off-road. Perris Raceway, a motocross track in Perris, is listed as hosting practice and races since 1954 (RiderPlanet USA). Perris Auto Speedway is a half-mile clay oval at the Lake Perris Fairgrounds (Wikipedia). In Lake Elsinore, the Elsinore Grand Prix dates back to 1968 (RideApart), so check the organiser's site for the current schedule. Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park announced in late 2024 that it would close (ABC7), so confirm any venue there before planning.

Race days need units in three places: the pits, the spectator area and any overnight camping area. Pit crews will not cross the track to reach a toilet. Dust and long days mean a mid-event service visit is worth asking about on two-day races.

Equestrian. Galway Downs in Temecula has more than 500 permanent stalls and 13 arenas and hosts hunter/jumper, dressage and eventing competitions (US Eventing). Norco's George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center is another arena venue. Smaller gymkhanas, ropings and club shows are often held on private arenas. At a horse show, place units near the warm-up arena and trailer parking, set back from where horses are tied or led, and keep the service truck's visit away from competition hours. Horses and pump trucks do not mix well.

Tournament and league FAQ

Can a unit stay at our practice field all season? Yes, with the field owner's approval. 28-day rentals include weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking.

Can you deliver before the park opens? Tell us the gate hours and who holds the key. Murrieta's parks open at sunrise and renters may not arrive before their permitted start time, so day-before delivery often needs the city's agreement.

Will the units be locked overnight? You can padlock a unit overnight with your own lock. Leave it unlocked, or give us the combination, on service day.

Who pays for damage or tip-overs at a public park? If a unit is tipped over or damaged, call us and we will reset, clean or replace it. The renter is responsible for damage beyond normal wear, and a service fee may apply.

Which areas do you cover? Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, French Valley, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Perris and Norco, plus the rest of our service areas. For other event types, go back to event porta potty rental or see church and school events.
