Dumpster Rental Through Our Sister Company, Victory Dumpsters

If your project needs a dumpster as well as a porta potty, you can ask for both on one quote. Roll-off dumpsters come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters, which handles dumpster sizes, pricing and scheduling. Victory Portable Restrooms supplies the portable toilets and hand-wash stations from our yard in Murrieta.

How does it work if I need a dumpster and a porta potty?

  1. Send one request. Tick both boxes on our quote form, or tell us on the phone that you need a dumpster too.
  2. Tell us about the job. Address, start date, the kind of debris, how many people will be working and for how long.
  3. We pass the dumpster part to Victory Dumpsters. They confirm whether they can serve your address, recommend a size and give the dumpster price and delivery date.
  4. We quote the portable toilets. Unit count, weekly service and a delivery and pickup fee.
  5. You get both answers.

Only need a dumpster? Go straight to victorydumpsters.com. That is the faster route, and their sizes and pricing are there.

What is a roll-off dumpster?

A roll-off is a large, open-top steel container that arrives on a truck built to carry it. The truck tilts its bed and the container rolls off onto your driveway or lot, which is where the name comes from. You fill it over the rental period. When you are done, or when it is full, the truck comes back, winches it on and hauls it to a disposal or recycling facility.

Roll-offs are different from the small lidded bins that a trash company empties each week behind a store. A roll-off is a temporary rental for a project: demolition debris, old roofing, yard waste, a garage cleanout.

Many have a door at one end that swings open, so heavy items can be walked in at ground level and do not have to be lifted over the side.

Which projects need both a dumpster and a porta potty?

Any job with a crew on site for more than a day or two and a steady stream of debris. The dumpster keeps the site clear. The portable toilet keeps the crew out of the customer's house and keeps the contractor on the right side of Cal/OSHA, which requires one toilet and one hand-wash station for every 20 workers or fraction (8 CCR §1526 and §1527). The Cal/OSHA guide has the detail.

Project Why a dumpster Why a porta potty
Kitchen or bathroom remodel Cabinets, drywall, tile, flooring The home's bathroom may be torn out, and crews should not be using the family's
Whole-house renovation or addition Weeks of mixed demolition and construction debris Daily crews for a month or more
Roof replacement Tear-off shingles or tile. Roofing jobs use the 20 yard dumpster A roofing crew working a full day needs a toilet on site
ADU or garage conversion Demolition, framing offcuts, packaging Several trades over several months
Custom home build Construction waste from framing through finish Required for the crew from the first day of work
Pool removal or new pool Concrete, soil, old decking Excavation and concrete crews in a back yard with no access to the house
Community event or fair Event trash Public restrooms for the crowd

What size dumpster do I need, and what does it cost?

Victory Dumpsters answers both questions. Their container sizes, what fits in each and their pricing are at victorydumpsters.com, and we would only be repeating it second-hand here.

One thing we can tell you: for a roofing job, the size to ask for is the 20 yard dumpster.

When you request a dumpster through us, it helps to say:

  • What you are throwing away. Mixed construction debris, roofing, concrete, dirt and yard waste are handled differently.
  • Roughly how much. The size of the room, the roof area or the pile.
  • Whether anything heavy is going in, such as concrete, tile, brick or soil.

For the porta potty side, our own prices are on the pricing page. Construction units start at $189 per 28 days with weekly service, plus a delivery and pickup fee. Ask about bundle pricing when you order portable toilets together with a dumpster or fence.

Where do the dumpster and the porta potty go?

Plan the two together. Both are delivered and serviced by trucks, and both need to stay reachable.

  • Dumpster on the driveway or another hard, level surface, with room in front for the truck to line up and overhead clearance from wires and tree limbs.
  • Portable toilet beside it or along the side of the driveway, on firm, level ground, where our service truck can reach it every week without the dumpster in the way.
  • Do not box one in with the other. A dumpster parked in front of the porta potty means a missed service.
  • Keep both on private property if you can. Anything placed in the street, on the sidewalk or in the parkway is in the public right-of-way, and cities and the county require an encroachment permit for that. See our permit guide.
  • Check the rules that apply to you. HOAs often limit how long a dumpster or portable toilet may sit in view. Event applications sometimes say who may provide trash service, so read yours before you order.

Do you rent dumpsters in my city?

Dumpster and porta potty FAQ

Is Victory Dumpsters the same company as Victory Portable Restrooms? They are sister companies. Victory Dumpsters runs the roll-off dumpster side, with its own website, sizes and prices. Victory Portable Restrooms runs the portable restroom side.

Will the dumpster and the porta potty arrive together? Not necessarily. They come on different trucks. Tell us your start date and we will aim to have both in place before the crew arrives.

Do I get one bill or two?

Can I book a dumpster without a porta potty? Yes. Go directly to victorydumpsters.com or call them.

What can't go in a dumpster? Hazardous materials are the usual exclusions, and heavy materials such as concrete and dirt often have their own rules. Victory Dumpsters lists what they accept on their site. Ask before you load anything you are unsure about.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster? On your own driveway or lot, normally not. In the street or on the sidewalk, expect to need an encroachment permit from the city or county. Call the public works department before delivery.
