Porta Potty Rental in Highgrove, CA

Victory Portable Restrooms rents porta potties in Highgrove, the unincorporated community at the north edge of Riverside County between the City of Riverside and Grand Terrace. We supply construction and standard portable toilets, ADA-accessible units and hand-wash stations for home builders, infill projects, industrial yards and neighborhood events. Construction units start at $189 per 28 days with weekly service, plus a delivery and pickup fee.

First, check which jurisdiction you are in

Highgrove sits on a county line, and three different governments are within a few blocks of each other:

If your site is in Permits come from
Highgrove (unincorporated) Riverside County
City of Riverside, to the south and west City of Riverside. See our Riverside page
Grand Terrace, to the north City of Grand Terrace, in San Bernardino County

Highgrove addresses are often written as "Riverside, CA", so the mailing address will not settle it. Look at who issued your building permit. Our stated service area is Riverside County, so if your site is across the line in Grand Terrace, call and ask.

What is being built in Highgrove?

Highgrove began as a citrus-growing community in the 1880s (Wikipedia). Housing has since replaced most of the groves. The census counted 3,988 residents in 2010 and 7,515 in 2020 (U.S. Census QuickFacts).

New homes. Much of that growth came from Spring Mountain Ranch, a master-planned community on the east side (Wikipedia). Smaller projects have also been filed with the county. One environmental filing describes 52 residential condominiums with a convenience store, fuel station and retail building on Center Street (CEQAnet). We have not confirmed whether it has been approved or built. See home builders.

Industrial yards and rail-side sites. The older west side of Highgrove, along the railroad and the I-215, has heavy manufacturing zoning. A county filing has described an automobile transloading facility next to the Union Pacific line there (CEQAnet). Yards and truck lots often have crews and drivers on site with no building nearby. A long-term unit with weekly service covers them. See commercial construction.

Infill and remodels around Center Street. The original neighborhood near Center Street has older homes on a street grid. Remodels, additions and ADUs there are small-crew jobs. See home remodels and ADU construction.

How many units for a tract or infill job?

Count the crew. Cal/OSHA requires one toilet and one hand-wash station for every 20 workers or fraction of 20. With fewer than five workers, one single-user unit is enough (8 CCR §1526, §1527). Our Cal/OSHA guide explains the exceptions.

Two practical notes for Highgrove:

  • Slopes. The east side climbs toward the hills. Units need a level pad the service truck can reach, so on a hillside tract pick the spot before grading buries the access.
  • Drainage. Keep units about 50 feet from storm drain inlets where the site allows (CASQA WM-9).

Dumpsters for the same site come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters, and we arrange temporary fence panels through partners. See job site services.

What are the county's permit rules in Highgrove?

Units on private property. We have not found a county requirement for a separate permit for a portable toilet on a permitted job site or your own lot. If you are unsure, ask the county's Building and Safety Department.

Units in the street. A county road right-of-way requires an encroachment permit from the County Transportation Department under Ordinance No. 499 (Riverside County Transportation).

Events. The county's Temporary Event rules (County Code Chapter 17.256) are tied to lot size, which matters on a small lot.

Rule What it means
Home wedding or birthday, up to 100 attendees, four per lot in 12 months No permit needed
More than 100 attendees on a lot of 10,000 square feet or less Not allowed
More than 300 attendees on a lot under one gross acre Not allowed
Permit required Apply 60 days ahead for up to 300 people a day, 90 days for larger, annual or commercial events

When a permit is needed, the county asks for a sewage disposal, water and food plan approved by County Environmental Health; it does not print a toilet count. See our permit guide and porta potty calculator. For park, church and school events see community events and church and school events.

Delivery to Highgrove

Highgrove is the farthest point north we list. From our yard at 26245 Monroe Ave in Murrieta we take the I-215 north through Perris and Moreno Valley, continue past UC Riverside, and exit at Center Street. That is roughly 40 miles. The stretch through the 60/91/215 interchange can be slow at commute hours.

We will not promise same-day delivery this far out. Ask when you call. Every day is different. The earlier you call, the better the chance of same-day delivery. Weekly service is included on every 28-day rental. Service runs on a set route, which is how we keep pricing competitive. You can request a specific service day. If your site needs a day that requires a special trip, the price may change. Phones are answered 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, and 24 hours a day for emergencies.

Price

Construction units start at $189 per 28 days, weekly pump, clean and restock included. There is a delivery and pickup fee. There are no fuel or environmental surcharges. Event rentals start at $189 per unit. See pricing.

Highgrove porta potty rental FAQ

My builder's lots are spread over several streets. Can you place units by phase? Yes. Give us a lot map and we will place units where the active crews are, then move them as phases close out. We can move a unit when we are on site for your regular service. If you need it moved sooner and we have to make a special trip, a relocation fee applies, and the amount depends on the location.

Which nearby places do you serve? Riverside, Moreno Valley and Jurupa Valley. See all service areas.
