Why is there so much demand for portable toilets in Beaumont?
Because Beaumont has grown a great deal. The state's provisional estimate put its population at 59,896 on January 1, 2026 (Department of Finance E-1 release). That growth shows up as three kinds of job site.
New-home tracts. The master-planned communities on the west and south sides of the city are built in phases. One example that has been on the city's docket is a 366-unit Meritage Homes phase at Fairway Canyon (GatherGov development tracker). A tract needs units spread across its phases. See porta potties for home builders.
Logistics and industrial sites. Beaumont sits where SR-60 meets I-10, and warehouse developers have followed.
| Project | Size | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Beaumont Pointe | 622 acres, about 5 million sq ft of industrial space in six buildings, plus 246,000 sq ft of commercial and a hotel. | REBusiness Online |
| Orchard Logistics Center | 610,000 sq ft warehouse on 30.9 acres at SR-60 and Western Knolls, approved by the Planning Commission on March 27, 2024. | CEQAnet |
Sites this large run grading, concrete, steel and paving crews at once, far apart. See commercial construction and grading and paving.
Infill and remodels. The older blocks around Sixth Street and Beaumont Avenue see remodels, ADUs and small apartment projects, including a 66-unit affordable housing proposal at Xenia Avenue and East Sixth Street (CEQAnet). See home remodels and ADU construction.
How far is Beaumont from your yard?
It is a long drive. Our yard is at 26245 Monroe Ave in Murrieta. Beaumont is about 35 miles north, a little more or less depending on the route:
- I-215 and SR-60. North on I-215 through Menifee and Perris, then east on SR-60 through the Badlands into Beaumont. Best for the west side and the SR-60 warehouse sites.
- SR-79 through Lamb Canyon. North on Winchester Road through Hemet and San Jacinto, then over Lamb Canyon to I-10 at Beaumont. Better for the south and east sides.
Either way it is a long run for the truck. We offer same-day and next-day delivery in our service area, but we do not promise same-day in Beaumont. Ask when you call. Every day is different. The earlier you call, the better the chance of same-day delivery. Booking a few days ahead is the safe plan.
Weekly service is included on 28-day rentals in Beaumont, the same as everywhere else we work. Phones are answered 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, and the same number is answered 24 hours a day for emergencies.
How many units does a Beaumont job site need?
Cal/OSHA sets the minimum for every construction site in the state.
| Workers on site | Toilets | Hand-wash stations |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4 | 1 single-user unit | Washing facility may be inside the unit |
| 5 to 20 | 1 | 1, outside the toilet |
| 21 to 40 | 2 | 2 |
| 41 to 60 | 3 | 3 |
| Each additional 20, or fraction | Add 1 | Add 1 |
Source: 8 CCR §1526 and §1527. That is the legal minimum. On a spread-out pad or a multi-phase tract, place units by work area and add a second weekly service when headcount peaks. More in our Cal/OSHA porta potty guide.
What does a portable toilet cost in Beaumont?

Do I need a City of Beaumont permit?
Not for a porta potty on your own lot or job site. Three situations bring the city in.
1. Events that close a street or take over a park. Beaumont requires a Special Event permit for an event on public or private property that may close a city street or right-of-way, or more than half of a city park. The city's examples include carnivals, parades, festivals, street fairs and block parties (City of Beaumont, Event Permits). Points from the city's page and application:
| Item | What the city says |
|---|---|
| When to apply | At least four weeks before the event (Special Event Application) |
| Application fee | None, though fees may be charged for Fire, Police or Community Services time |
| Insurance | Required for the length of the event |
| Frequency | One special event permit every three months for the same site or applicant |
| Business activity | A City of Beaumont business license is required |
The governing code is Municipal Code Chapter 9.03. The city's event page does not print a toilet ratio, so ask what it expects for your crowd.
2. Events on private property or in a park. The application notes that a Temporary Use Permit from Community Development may be required on private property, and a Facility Use Permit from Community Services for city parks and buildings. Call the Civic Center at (951) 769-8520 before you set a date.
3. A unit in the street. Anything placed in the public right-of-way goes through Public Works. The city says a complete encroachment application takes from two or three working days to several weeks, and that work affecting vehicles or pedestrians needs a traffic control plan (City of Beaumont, Encroachment Permits). The page does not mention portable toilets, so confirm with Public Works. Keeping the unit on the driveway or lot avoids the question.
If your neighborhood has an HOA, read your CC&Rs or call the management company before a unit goes on a driveway. Our permit guide covers the general rules.
Which Beaumont events use portable restrooms?
The Cherry Festival. The festival has run for more than a century. In 2026 it was held May 28 to 31 on a 30-acre city-owned site at Beaumont Avenue and Cougar Way, with the parade on Beaumont Avenue. It had been at Stewart Park for about 30 years and moved to Noble Creek Park in 2025 while Stewart Park was being rebuilt (Record Gazette). Dates and site can change, so check with the festival each year. A festival on a vacant lot has no plumbing, so every restroom and hand-wash station is brought in.
Fourth of July. The city's Red, White and BOOM Freedom Festival was announced for Beaumont Sports Park on July 4, 2026, with vendors, food trucks and fireworks (Record Gazette).
Everything smaller. Youth sports weekends, school and church events, HOA gatherings and backyard parties.
For a public event, start with the industry planning chart: 1,000 people for 4 hours needs about 8 units with no service during the event, and PSAI says to add 10 to 20 percent when alcohol is served (PSAI). California's building code requires 5 percent of the units in each cluster, and at least one, to be accessible (CBC §11B-213.2). Use our porta potty calculator for other crowd sizes, and see fairs and carnivals, community events and sports tournaments.
Does wind matter in Beaumont?
Yes. Beaumont sits at the top of the San Gorgonio Pass, and the National Weather Service regularly issues wind advisories for the Pass, with forecasts of gusts from 50 to 65 mph in some events (Patch). State stormwater guidance says portable toilets should be secured against overturning in high winds and kept about 50 feet from drainage where the site allows (CASQA WM-9). Tell us if the unit will sit on an open pad or ridge. On windy or exposed sites, ask us about staking or tying down the units.
Can I get a dumpster and fencing on the same order?
Yes. Roll-off dumpsters come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters. We arrange temporary fence panels and restroom trailers through our partners. See job site services.
Beaumont porta potty rental FAQ
Will the service truck really come to Beaumont every week? Yes. Weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking is included on every 28-day rental. Service runs on a set route, which is how we keep pricing competitive. You can request a specific service day. If your site needs a day that requires a special trip, the price may change.
Do you deliver to the neighborhoods north of the city limit? Yes. Those addresses are usually in unincorporated Cherry Valley, where Riverside County rules apply.
What other Pass communities do you serve? Banning, Calimesa and Cabazon, plus San Jacinto at the south end of Lamb Canyon. See all service areas.
