Porta Potty Rental in Calimesa, CA

Victory Portable Restrooms rents porta potties in Calimesa, mostly to builders working the new-home tracts and commercial pads along I-10, and to residents and groups planning events. We supply construction and standard portable toilets, ADA-accessible units and hand-wash stations, serviced weekly on 28-day rentals. Construction units start at $189 per 28 days, plus a delivery and pickup fee.

Where is Calimesa, and can you get here?

Calimesa is the northwest corner of our service area. It sits on I-10 at the Riverside County line, with Yucaipa and San Bernardino County directly north. It is one of the farthest Pass cities from our yard at 26245 Monroe Ave in Murrieta.

Our route is I-215 north to SR-60 east, through the Badlands to I-10, then west a few miles to the Calimesa exits. Figure about 42 to 48 miles each way. The other option, SR-79 over Lamb Canyon to Beaumont and then west on I-10, is similar.

What that means for you:

  • Book ahead. We offer same-day and next-day delivery in our service area, but we do not promise same-day in Calimesa. Ask when you call. Every day is different. The earlier you call, the better the chance of same-day delivery.
  • Service still comes weekly. Weekly pump, clean and restock is included on 28-day rentals. Service runs on a set route, which is how we keep pricing competitive. You can request a specific service day. If your site needs a day that requires a special trip, the price may change.
  • A delivery and pickup fee, with no fuel surcharge.
  • We stop at the county line.

Phones are answered 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, and 24 hours a day for emergencies.

Who is building in Calimesa?

Calimesa is a small city. The state's provisional estimate put its population at 10,942 on January 1, 2026 (Department of Finance E-1 release). Most of its recent growth is new construction close to the freeway.

Project What it is Source

What these sites need from a portable toilet company:

  1. Units before utilities. Raw land has no water or sewer during grading. Toilets and hand-wash stations go in with the first equipment. See grading and paving.
  2. Units that move with the work. As a tract builds out phase by phase, units follow the framing and finish crews. We can move a unit when we are on site for your regular service. If you need it moved sooner and we have to make a special trip, a relocation fee applies, and the amount depends on the location. See home builders.
  3. A count that meets Cal/OSHA. One toilet and one hand-wash station per 20 workers or fraction, with the wash station outside the toilet. Fewer than five workers can share one single-user unit (8 CCR §1526, §1527). Our Cal/OSHA guide explains the rule.
  4. Placement off the storm drain. New tracts are under stormwater permits. State guidance is to keep portable toilets about 50 feet from drainage where the site allows and to secure them in high wind (CASQA WM-9).

Subcontractors on these jobs often rent their own unit. Solar crews on new roofs and landscape contractors finishing yards are common examples. See solar installers and the construction hub.

Roll-off dumpsters for the same site come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters. We arrange temporary fence panels through our partners. See job site services.

What about older Calimesa?

The original town along Calimesa Boulevard and the streets east of it is a different market: older houses, often on larger lots. Typical orders there are a single porta potty for a remodel, a re-roof or an ADU, and one or two units for a family party so guests are not lined up for the only bathroom. See home remodels and private parties.

Does Calimesa require a permit for an event with portable restrooms?

It depends on where the event is and who is invited. Calimesa's rules are in its municipal and zoning codes. City Hall is at 908 Park Avenue, (909) 795-9801, and applications are filed through the city's OpenGov permit portal (City of Calimesa, Planning).

Your event What applies
Private, noncommercial party or wedding at a home, with no temporary structures in the front yard Listed as exempt from the temporary event rules, unless another agency's approval is needed
Fair, race, market or similar temporary event Temporary event rules: no more than three consecutive days, no more than four events per location per calendar year, at least 30 days apart. Plans for sanitary facilities and waste collection must be submitted
Community celebration or festival in a city park Special event permit approved by the Community Development Director, plus a park facility use agreement with insurance naming the city
Anything in the street or sidewalk Encroachment permit from Public Works

Sources: Calimesa Zoning Code §18.15.135 (third-party copy), the city's Park Facility Use Agreement packet, and Public Works/Engineering with its encroachment permit conditions.

Two things the code does not give you: a filing deadline and a toilet count. It says the sponsor must also contact Building and Safety, Public Works, County Fire, the Sheriff and County Environmental Health. Call the Planning Division early and ask how far ahead they want the application. We will give you the unit count, placement and service details for your sanitation plan. More background is in our permit guide.

Which Calimesa events need extra restrooms?

The city's own calendar is modest and family-oriented. Recent listings include a Trunk or Treat at Summerwind Park on October 31 (City of Calimesa), a Christmas parade on Calimesa Boulevard between Avenue K and Myrtlewood Drive, and a tree lighting at City Hall (Riverside Record). Check the city's calendar for this year's dates. Parade routes and evening events in front of City Hall draw crowds to places with few or no public restrooms.

For sizing, the PSAI chart puts 500 people for 3 hours at 4 units with no service during the event (PSAI). At a public event, 5 percent of the units in each cluster, and at least one, must be accessible (CBC §11B-213.2). Work out your own number with the porta potty calculator. See community events and church and school events. Event rentals start at $189 per unit.
