Porta Potty Rental in Sun City, CA

Why do Sun City homes need a porta potty during a remodel?

Because of when they were built. Developer Del Webb opened Sun City in June 1962, and 272 homes sold in the first three days (Wikipedia: Sun City, Menifee). A listing site for the community counts 4,762 homes built between 1962 and 1981 (55places). Houses of that age are now on their second or third round of major work:

• Bathroom remodels and accessibility conversions. Tub-to-shower conversions, wider doorways and grab bars. In a home with one or two bathrooms, one bathroom job can leave the house with no working toilet.
• Re-pipes and sewer line repairs. When the water is shut off or the drain line is open, nobody in the house can flush.
• Re-roofs. Roofing crews work outside all day and should not be walking through an occupied home.
• Estate clean-outs and flips. Homes that change hands are often gutted with the utilities off.

A unit on the driveway covers the crew and, if needed, the household. See porta potties for home remodels and roofing contractors.

Does the Sun City Civic Association allow a portable toilet on my lot?

Ask before you book. Sun City has its own association, the Sun City Civic Association, at 26850 Sun City Boulevard (Sun City Civic Association). We have not read its current CC&Rs or rules, so we will not tell you what they say. Ask the association whether temporary units need approval, where they may sit and for how long.

What we can do to make approval easier:

1. Place the unit on your driveway or side yard, not the street.
2. Tuck it beside the garage or behind a side gate where the lot allows and our service hose can still reach.
3. Give you the delivery date, pickup date and weekly service day in writing for the association office.
4. Pick up promptly when the job ends. Give us two business days' notice for pickup when you can.

Parts of the Sun City area have separate associations and mobile home parks with their own managers. Check which one covers your address.

What do the City of Menifee's rules add?

Sun City has been part of Menifee since the city incorporated on October 1, 2008, so city rules apply on top of the association's.

The full city picture is on our Menifee porta potty rental page and in the permit guide.

How do you get to Sun City from Murrieta?

We take the I-15 north to the I-215 north and exit at McCall Boulevard, the main Sun City exit. The core of the community sits west of the freeway around Sun City Boulevard, Cherry Hills Boulevard and Bradley Road. It is about 15 miles from the yard. Same-day and next-day delivery are offered. We answer the phone 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, and the same number is answered around the clock for emergencies such as a failed sewer line.

Which unit should I order?

If the resident is staying in the home during the work and uses a walker or wheelchair, say so when you call. An accessible unit needs more driveway space, so we check the fit first. See ADA-accessible units.

For crews, Cal/OSHA requires one toilet per 20 workers, and a crew under five can share one single-user unit (Title 8 §1526). Our Cal/OSHA guide explains the hand-washing rule.

What does it cost?

Construction units start at $189 per 28 days, weekly pump, clean and restock included. There is a delivery and pickup fee, with no fuel or environmental surcharges. Accessible units and hand-wash stations are priced separately. See pricing.

Need debris hauled too? Dumpsters come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters. For a re-roof, ask them about the 20 yard dumpster. One call can set up both. See job site services.

Sun City porta potty FAQ

My contractor says the job is only four days. Is a rental worth it? If the only bathroom is out of service, yes. Job site rentals bill in 28-day periods.

Will the truck block my street on service day? The service stop is short. The driver parks at the curb, runs a hose to the unit, pumps, cleans and restocks.

Can the unit sit in my carport? Only if the service hose can reach and the door can open fully. An open driveway spot is better.

Do you rent to churches and clubs in Sun City? Yes. Outdoor services, rummage sales and club events use the same units. See church and school events and community events. Event rentals start at $189 per unit.

Where else do you deliver nearby? Menifee, Romoland, Quail Valley, Canyon Lake and Perris. See all service areas.
