Porta Potty Rental in Quail Valley, CA
Victory Portable Restrooms delivers porta potties to Quail Valley, the community on the west side of Menifee next to Canyon Lake. People here call us for three main reasons: a septic system that has stopped working, a sewer connection or plumbing job that takes the house toilet out of service, and construction work along Goetz Road. Construction portable toilets start at $189 per 28 days with weekly service included, plus a delivery and pickup fee.
Why is Quail Valley different from the rest of Menifee?
Sewer. Most of Menifee was built on sewer lines. Quail Valley was not.
Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) describes Quail Valley as a former rural enclave that was largely a vacation community. As more people moved in full time, septic systems began to fail, and wastewater reached groundwater and Canyon Lake (EMWD, April 2026). In October 2006 the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted a prohibition on new septic systems in Quail Valley, and the State Water Board approved it in June 2007 (State Water Board Resolution 2007-0038).
Where things stand, according to EMWD's Quail Valley project page:
| Area | Status |
|---|---|
| Subarea 9, Phase 1 | Sewer main finished in 2019, serving 159 existing homes and 75 vacant properties |
| Goetz Road backbone sewer | Under construction. About 4,000 feet of pipe between Rock Canyon Drive and Avenida Robles, expected to finish in mid-2027 |
| Subarea 4 (north Quail Valley) | In design. EMWD needs signed interest forms from at least 80% of owners to pursue grant funding |

My septic system backed up. How fast can I get a portable toilet?
Call (951) 517-3600. We offer same-day and next-day delivery, and the number is answered 24 hours a day for emergencies. A portable toilet does not fix a septic system, but it gives the household a working toilet the same day while you line up a pumper, a plumber or a repair.
What helps us move quickly:
- Your street address and the nearest cross street.
- A photo of the driveway and the street in front of the house.
- Whether the driveway is steep. A unit has to sit on level ground, so on a sloped lot we look for a flat pad, a carport apron or a level spot near the street side of the property.
- How many people live in the home, so we can suggest weekly or twice-weekly service.
Household rentals bill the same way as job site rentals: 28 days at a time, with weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking included. A hand-wash station can be added if the water is off as well.
Do I need a porta potty while my house is connected to sewer?
Often, for a short time. Connecting a house to a new sewer main means digging a lateral across the yard, re-routing the house drain and taking the old septic tank out of use. EMWD says tanks in the first phase were abandoned in place. While the drain is disconnected, the house has no toilet. Ask your plumber how many days that will be, then book the unit for the day before work starts.
Crews doing the work need facilities too. Cal/OSHA requires one toilet and one hand-wash station for every 20 workers or fraction of 20 (Title 8 §1526, §1527). Pipeline crews move along the street as the trench advances, so units should move with them. See portable toilets for public works and our Cal/OSHA guide.
Can a service truck reach my street?
Usually, but tell us about the street first, especially if it is narrow or steep or the lot is on a hillside. Our truck has to return every week, so placement matters more here than in a flat tract:
- Keep the unit within hose reach of where the truck can stop.
- Keep it on your property. A unit in the street needs city approval (see below).
- Keep it away from drainage paths. Runoff from Quail Valley flows toward Canyon Lake, a drinking water reservoir. State stormwater guidance recommends about 50 feet between portable toilets and drainage where the site allows (CASQA fact sheet WM-9).
Which permit rules apply?
Quail Valley became part of the City of Menifee on October 1, 2008 (Wikipedia), so Menifee's rules apply.
- On your lot: a portable toilet for a repair, remodel or household use does not normally need its own permit. The plumbing or sewer work itself usually does. Ask Menifee Building and Safety.
- In the street: Menifee treats objects that obstruct public property as a nuisance unless an encroachment permit has been issued (Menifee Municipal Code §11.20.020). Call Public Works before delivery.
- Outdoor events: a Temporary Use Permit application is due 60 days ahead (Menifee application).
Our Menifee page covers the city process and park events in full. The permit guide compares nearby cities.
How far is Quail Valley from your yard?
About 19 miles. There are two ways in. One is I-15 north to Railroad Canyon Road, east through Canyon Lake, then Goetz Road. The other is I-215 north to Newport Road and west to Goetz Road. Neither is a freeway run to the door, and Goetz Road has sewer construction through mid-2027, so we quote arrival windows with that in mind.
Quail Valley porta potty FAQ
Can I use a porta potty as my permanent toilet? No. A portable toilet is a temporary answer during a failure or repair. For what is allowed on your parcel long term, call the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board at 951-782-4130, the number EMWD lists for septic prohibition questions.
How much does it cost? From $189 per 28 days with weekly service, plus a delivery and pickup fee. No fuel or environmental surcharges. See pricing.
Can I have it serviced more than once a week? Yes. Extra visits are available, and a family using one unit full time should consider two a week. Extra visits are quoted when you call.
I am having a party and do not trust my septic tank. Can I rent for a weekend? Yes. One or two units keep guests off the system. See private parties. Event rentals start at $189 per unit.
