Porta Potty Rental in Canyon Lake, CA

Victory Portable Restrooms rents porta potties in Canyon Lake for remodels, custom home builds, dock and seawall work and community events. Canyon Lake is both a city and a private gated community, so a delivery here involves gate access and Property Owners Association rules that do not apply elsewhere. Construction units start at $189 per 28 days with weekly service included, plus a delivery and pickup fee.

Canyon Lake is not Canyon Hills. Canyon Hills is an ungated neighborhood of Lake Elsinore a few miles west. If that is where you live, see porta potty rental in Canyon Hills.

How do your trucks get through the Canyon Lake gates?

The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (POA) controls entry. Its rule is that access is permitted only to residents and their guests, and members manage guest access through the POA's guest system (Canyon Lake POA: Community Access).

The property owner has to authorize us. Before delivery day, the owner needs to authorize Victory Portable Restrooms for the address. The POA has members manage visitor access through its GoAccess system (Canyon Lake POA: Community Access). We return every week to pump the unit, so ask Member Services how to set up access that lasts the whole rental, not a one-day pass.

Our trucks cannot use the Main Gate. The POA states that all commercial, oversize and recreational vehicles must enter through the East Gate or the North Gate, and that commercial vehicles are not allowed entry at the Main Gate on Railroad Canyon Road. The East Gate is off Goetz Road. The North Gate is off Greenwald Avenue (Community Access).

How far is Canyon Lake from your Murrieta yard?

From 26245 Monroe Ave we take the I-15 north to Railroad Canyon Road and head east, which is roughly 15 to 17 miles to the gates. Because of the commercial gate rule, the truck continues past the Main Gate to Goetz Road for the East Gate, or comes in from the north on Greenwald Avenue. Railroad Canyon Road backs up at commute hours, so we schedule around them when we can.

We offer same-day and next-day delivery if gate access is already arranged. Office hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. The same number is answered 24 hours a day for emergencies.

What does the POA require for a porta potty on my lot?

Read the POA's current Rules and Regulations before you order. A 2019 POA news column listed these rules for portable toilets used during construction (The Friday Flyer, POA News, Aug. 2, 2019; the article is no longer online, so check the current rules):

  • The unit must be maintained regularly.
  • It must sit at least 20 feet from the water's edge and from storm drains.
  • It may not be stored on the street.
  • It must be securely anchored to the ground.

Weekly service covers the first point. The rest are about placement, so tell us if your lot is on the water.

The project itself usually needs POA approval. The POA says its CC&Rs allow no improvement to be installed, placed or moved on a lot without written approval from the Architectural Control Committee, and that a permit is required for any project except softscape and interior remodeling (Canyon Lake POA: Planning and Compliance).

What projects need a portable toilet in Canyon Lake?

Development of Canyon Lake began in 1968, when the Corona Land Company started building 5,000 lots around the reservoir (City of Canyon Lake: History). Much of the housing is decades old, so the work here is mostly rebuilding what exists.

  • Whole-house remodels and additions. See home remodels.
  • Custom homes on tight or sloped lots. Hillside and waterfront lots leave little flat ground. See custom home builds.
  • Docks, seawalls and waterfront hardscape. The 20-foot setback from the water matters most on these jobs.
  • Pools and landscape. See pool builders and landscape contractors.

For crew size, California's rule is short: one toilet and one hand-wash station per 20 workers or part of 20 (8 CCR §1526 and §1527). A single unit covers most residential jobs here. See our Cal/OSHA guide.

Who approves events in Canyon Lake?

Two bodies, and you may need both.

The City of Canyon Lake requires a Special Event Permit for any event that may attract 100 or more people. Applications are due at least 30 days ahead. If you are not the property owner, the city wants proof of the owner's approval, and it names the POA for common areas inside the gates (City of Canyon Lake: Special Event Permits). The POA's event page gives a threshold of 50 people for the same permit, so confirm the number with City Hall.

The POA takes reservations for the lodge, the country club, the ball fields and five beach-side parks from members, sanctioned clubs and activity groups. Vendors must name the POA as an additional insured and file a certificate of insurance with the Recreation Department, and the final event layout is due 15 days before the event (Canyon Lake POA: Event Planning). Tell us early if you need a certificate. We provide certificates of insurance, including additional-insured certificates, on request. See community events.

What does it cost?

Construction porta potties start at $189 per 28 days with weekly service. There is a delivery and pickup fee, with no fuel or environmental surcharges. Event rentals start at $189 per unit. ADA-accessible units and hand-wash stations are quoted separately. See pricing.

Canyon Lake porta potty rental FAQ

Who arranges the gate pass, you or me? You do, or your contractor does. Only a POA member can authorize a guest or vendor for an address.

How do you anchor a unit? On windy or exposed sites, ask us about staking or tying down the units. Tell us the surface, since concrete, pavers and soil each need a different approach.

Can you bring a dumpster too? Roll-off dumpsters come from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters. Ask the POA about its rules for containers before delivery. See job site services.

Which nearby areas do you serve? Lake Elsinore, Canyon Hills, Quail Valley and Menifee. See all service areas.
