Porta Potty Rental in East Hemet, CA

Victory Portable Restrooms rents porta potties in East Hemet for remodels, reroofs, ADU builds and family gatherings. East Hemet has a Hemet mailing address but sits outside the city limits, so Riverside County rules apply, not the City of Hemet's. Construction portable toilets start at $189 per 28 days with weekly service included, plus a delivery and pickup fee.

Is my address in East Hemet or the City of Hemet?

This is the first thing to sort out, because the two follow different rules. East Hemet is an unincorporated community between the City of Hemet and Valle Vista. It shares the 92544 ZIP code and "Hemet, CA" on the mail, but it has no city government. The 2020 census counted 19,432 people in about 5.2 square miles, in 5,852 housing units (U.S. Census Bureau).

If you are not sure which side of the line you are on, look at your property tax bill or ask the county. It matters in two ways:

City of Hemet East Hemet (county)
Event permit Temporary Use Permit from Hemet Planning Temporary Event Permit from Riverside County Planning, when one is needed
Printed restroom count Yes, on the city form No. County Environmental Health approves a plan
Street or sidewalk placement Hemet Engineering Riverside County Transportation

The city's requirements are covered on our Hemet page. The rest of this page is about the county side.

What do East Hemet homeowners and contractors rent?

East Hemet is mostly established single-family neighbourhoods. It is more compact than Valle Vista, at about 3,700 people per square mile (same source). The work here is mostly on existing houses.

Bathroom and kitchen remodels. When the only bathroom is torn out, or the water is off for a repipe, one unit on the driveway keeps the household and the crew going. See home remodels.

Reroofs. A roofing crew is on site for days with no reason to come inside. Pair a porta potty with a 20 yard dumpster from our sister company, Victory Dumpsters. See roofing contractors.

ADUs and additions. A backyard unit for family or rental income runs for months. See ADU construction.

Landlords turning over rentals. A unit covers the gap when plumbing is out between tenants.

Landscape and pool crews. Backyard work with side-gate access only. See landscape contractors.

California's job site rule applies to every one of these: one toilet and one hand-wash station per 20 workers, and a single-user unit for a crew of fewer than five (8 CCR §1526, §1527). Details are in the Cal/OSHA guide.

Can I have a party at home without a county permit?

Usually yes. Under Riverside County's Temporary Event Permit instructions, weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties and similar events at a dwelling need no permit if there are no more than 100 attendees and no more than four such events on the lot in 12 months. Attendees include staff and vendors.

Lot size sets the ceiling for anything bigger. The county prohibits temporary events with more than 100 attendees on lots of 10,000 square feet or less, and more than 300 on lots under one gross acre. In the residential zones the instructions list, events may not run between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. For a standard tract lot, that means a home party of up to 100 is fine and a larger one is not allowed at all, with or without a permit. A larger event belongs at a park, church, school or hall.

For a backyard quinceañera, graduation or memorial with 50 to 100 people, one or two portable toilets and a hand-wash station keep traffic out of the house. Our unit count guide covers the numbers. See private parties. Event rentals start at $189 per unit.

School, church and neighbourhood events

Hemet High School is in East Hemet (Wikipedia), and the area is served by Hemet Unified School District. The county instructions exempt events held entirely on public school sites from the county event permit, but the district sets its own terms for outside vendors. Ask the school or district office first. The county does not print a toilet count for events, so plan from crowd size and hours, and include at least one accessible unit in any cluster (CBC §11B-213.2). See church and school events.

Where can the unit go on a smaller lot?

  1. Driveway or side yard, on your property. This is the simple answer and avoids any right-of-way question.
  2. Within reach of the service truck. We come back every week to pump it, so it cannot be boxed in behind a locked gate or parked cars.
  3. Off the street and out of the gutter. A unit in the county road right-of-way needs an encroachment permit from County Transportation (Riverside County Transportation). Stormwater guidance also suggests keeping units about 50 feet from drainage where the site allows (CASQA WM-9).
  4. Level and firm. Concrete, asphalt or compacted dirt.

More on county rules is in our permit guide.

East Hemet FAQ

Do I call Hemet City Hall about a permit? Not if you are outside the city limits. County Planning handles event permits and County Transportation handles the road right-of-way.

How long can I keep a unit for a remodel? As long as the job runs. Job site rentals bill in 28-day periods with weekly service. Shorter rentals are available for special events.

Can I rent one for a single day? Yes. We deliver the day before or the morning of your event and pick up afterward or the next day, depending on the schedule.

Where else do you deliver nearby? Hemet, Valle Vista, San Jacinto and Winchester. See all service areas.
