Wedding Porta Potty & Restroom Rental in Temecula Wine Country
Victory Portable Restrooms supplies wedding restrooms for wineries, ranches and private estates in Temecula wine country and the rest of the Temecula Valley. We stock standard portable toilets, ADA-accessible units and hand-wash stations at our Murrieta yard, and we arrange a two-station restroom trailer through our partner on a quote-only basis, with at least 7 days' notice. Some weddings need neither, and this page explains how to tell.
Does my venue need extra restrooms at all?
Not always. Temecula Valley has nearly 50 wineries (Visit Temecula Valley), and the ones that host weddings every weekend were built for it. If your guest count is inside what such a venue normally hosts, its own restrooms are probably enough. Ask the coordinator before you spend anything.
Extra restrooms are worth ordering when one of these is true:
- The property is on a septic system and your guest count is above its usual load. Some wine country estates and ranches are on septic, not sewer. A septic system is sized for the building's normal daily use. Several hours of a full wedding crowd, plus caterers and bar staff, can send in more water than the tank and leach field were designed to take. The result is slow drains or a backup during the reception. Ask the owner about the system's history.
- The venue's contract says so. Some private estates require the renter to bring portable restrooms for any event, or above a stated guest count, to protect the house and its septic system.
- There are too few stalls. Two restrooms in a ranch house mean long lines at cocktail hour for 150 guests.
- The ceremony or reception is far from the building. A vineyard ceremony site may be a long walk in formal shoes from the nearest restroom.
- The venue is raw land. A family ranch or an open hilltop has nothing on site.
If none of these apply, you likely do not need us. Call and describe the venue if you are unsure.
Restroom trailer or standard units?
Both work at weddings. Our porta potty vs restroom trailer guide has the full comparison.
| Restroom trailer | Standard units with hand-wash stations | |
|---|---|---|
| Who supplies it | A two-station trailer arranged through our partner, with at least 7 days' notice | Our own stock in Murrieta |
| What guests get | A two-station trailer with flushing toilets and sinks | A clean single-user portable toilet with a separate hand-wash station outside |
| What the site needs | A level pad a tow vehicle can reach, plus power and water or their substitutes | Firm, level ground our truck can reach |
| Price | Quote only | Event rentals start at $189 per unit |
| Fits best | Formal receptions, larger guest counts, easy vehicle access | Smaller or casual weddings, tight budgets, steep or narrow sites, staff restrooms |
A common arrangement is a mix: a trailer for guests, and one or two standard units behind the scenes for caterers, bartenders, the band and shuttle drivers. That keeps staff out of the guest line.

How do you make standard porta potties presentable at a wedding?
A portable toilet will not pass for a powder room. It can still be clean, discreet and comfortable. Most of that comes down to where it sits and what is around it.
- Place them out of the photos. Keep units out of the sight lines from the ceremony arch, the head table and the sunset view. Beside a barn wall or behind a hedge works: close enough to find, far enough from the tables.
- Screen them. Lattice panels, fabric draping on a pipe frame, a row of potted olive trees or wine barrels turn a line of units into a restroom area. Your decor rental company or florist can supply these. We do not. County zoning tells wineries in the wine country zones to screen their service areas, so your venue may already have a set spot.
- Light the path and the doors. Receptions run past sunset. Put string lights or solar path lights along the walkway and a battery light inside each unit.
- Give them firm ground. Heels sink in turf and decomposed granite, so place units beside a hard path where you can.
- Add hand-wash stations. A hand-wash station with running water, soap and paper towels beside the units is the upgrade guests notice most. A small table with a mirror is an easy extra to add yourself.
- Order a dedicated accessible unit. An ADA-accessible unit has a wider door, ground-level entry and room to turn. It serves wheelchair users, grandparents with walkers and parents with small children, and it is the easiest unit to manage in a wedding dress. It needs level ground and a firm route from the reception.
How many restrooms does a wedding need?
Two sets of guidance exist, and they disagree.
The industry event chart. The Portable Sanitation Association International chart is the usual planning reference. Its smallest row is a crowd of 500, with no venue restrooms and no pumping during the event (PSAI). PSAI says to add 10 to 20% when alcohol is served. San Bernardino County's health department publishes the same chart and says to add 40% (San Bernardino County).
| 500 guests for | Chart | With 20% for alcohol | With 40% for alcohol |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 hours | 5 | 6 | 7 |
| 5 hours | 6 | 8 | 9 |
| 6 hours | 7 | 9 | 10 |
| 8 hours | 9 | 11 | 13 |
Adjusted figures are rounded up. A winery wedding is an alcohol event, so use one of the two right-hand columns.
Wedding planning rules of thumb. Wedding publications aim for short lines. A planner quoted by The Knot suggests roughly one stall per 25 guests (The Knot).
For 150 guests those rules give 6 to 8 stalls, far more per guest than the PSAI chart. Treat the chart as the floor and the wedding rules as the comfortable end. Three things move you along that range:
- Count every stall. Working venue restrooms and each stall in a trailer count toward the total.
- Count staff. Caterers, bar staff, musicians and photographers add to the headcount.
- Think about the rush. Use spikes after the ceremony and between dinner and dancing. More stalls shorten those lines.
Our unit count calculator runs the numbers for your guest count and hours.
How far ahead should we book?
Earlier than for any other event. Temecula wedding demand peaks in spring, with May the top month for venue searches in one data study (Engine). Fall Saturdays also tend to book early.
| What you are ordering | When to reserve |
|---|---|
| Restroom trailer, spring or fall Saturday | We need at least 7 days' notice for the two-station trailer our partner supplies. |
| Restroom trailer, other dates | As soon as the venue is confirmed. We need at least 7 days' notice |
| Standard and ADA units, hand-wash stations | Book a week or more ahead when you can. Spring and fall weekends fill first. We take short-notice orders whenever units are available. |
Trailers are the limiting item. There are fewer of them, and many weddings want one on the same Saturdays.
What will the venue or coordinator ask us for?
Most venues have a vendor packet. For restrooms it usually covers four things.
- Certificate of insurance. Venues commonly ask each vendor for a certificate naming the venue as additional insured. We provide certificates of insurance, including additional-insured certificates, on request.
- Delivery window. Many venues only allow vendor trucks during set hours and not while the tasting room is busy. Tell us the window and which entrance to use.
- Placement. The spot the venue has approved, how our truck reaches it, and any slope, low branches or soft ground on the way.
- Pickup time. Some venues want everything gone the same night because another wedding sets up in the morning. Others prefer next-morning pickup.
Send us the coordinator's name and number and we will work out the details with them.
What county rules apply to winery and estate weddings?
Most of wine country is in unincorporated Riverside County, outside the Temecula city limit, so county rules apply. Confirm the jurisdiction for your venue.
Wineries. Under the county's Wine Country zoning, a winery hosts weddings as a "special occasion facility," which needs county approval and is tied to the winery's class and parcel size (Riverside County Code Ch. 17.142). Check the current acreage rules with County Planning. We found no toilet ratio in the zoning text, and guest limits are usually set in each venue's own conditions of approval. Portable restrooms do not raise that limit.
Private estates and ranches. The county's temporary event rules exempt weddings, birthdays and similar events at a dwelling with up to 100 attendees, limited to four per lot in 12 months (Riverside County Code Ch. 17.256, as adopted in Ordinance No. 348.4966). Larger events need a temporary event permit, filed at least 60 days ahead for up to 300 attendees a day and 90 days for more, with a sanitation plan approved by County Environmental Health.
Rented estates. The same chapter prohibits commercial temporary events in many residential zones and in the wine country zones. If you are paying to use a private estate, ask the owner in writing what the property is approved for before you book any vendor.
Inside Temecula city limits, the city's Temporary Use Permit applies instead. Our permit guide covers both.
Where do you deliver for weddings?

Wedding restroom FAQ
Can you deliver the day before a Saturday wedding? Usually, and it is the better plan. We deliver the day before or the morning of your event and pick up afterward or the next day, depending on the schedule. Check that the venue allows Friday delivery.
Will the units need servicing during the reception? Not if the count is right. A single evening does not call for pumping. A wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner and a Sunday brunch on the same site does, and we can service between days.
What does it cost? Event rentals start at $189 per unit. That is for standard units. The two-station trailer is quote-only through our partner. See pricing for how event quotes are built.
Do you cover rehearsal dinners and at-home receptions? Yes. See backyard and private parties, or all event porta potty rental.
